Kennebunkport's Oldest Operating B&B

Situated on a knoll over looking Chick’s Cove, the Cove House, originally a colonial farm house was started in 1793 as part of an original land grant from the King of England. It was the third house built on South Maine Street and is the oldest house in Kennebunkport offering bed and breakfast.

Bought in 1981 by Bob, Kathy and Barry Jones, it has been updated and modernized; but it still has the charm of a Maine vintage home. Decorated with antiques and oriental rugs, it offers quiet accommodations just a short walk from town. We are ideally situated for bicycle lovers for the beach and town.

Your host is Barry Jones, a lieutenant in the fire departments of Kennebunk and Kennebunkport. An excellent cook, Barry has worked at local restaurants during his career. He also now helps his mother run their sister inn on Ocean Avenue.
